Codo
Al igual que el hombro , el codo es una articulación compleja , tanto por su anatomía como por su biomecánica.
Esta formado por la unión entre los huesos del húmero distal , la parte próximal del radio y la ulna o cubito. Dos ligamentos colaterales a cada lado proporcionan estabiidad.
Las lesiones se pueden presentar en todos los deportes que impliquen movimientos por encima del hombro , lesiones por sobreuso en deportes como tenis o béisbol los cuales pueden generar epicondilitis , esguinces y atrapamiento nerviosos .
Sin embargo en otros deportes extremos o incluso caídas también se pueden generar fracturas y luxaciones las cuales pueden llevar a una limitación importante así como desgaste temprano y osteoartritis .
